I am not very familiar with the online tutoring job market, but my guess is that you'll be under paid and only receive a few hours per week. Also, I doubt you'll get a chance to work with the same student twice. Perhaps I am wrong, but I doubt it.

Hello Scott.

I liek yourself am a certified teacher in the states. I hired a webmaster to create a professional looking online tutoring site. I have also subscibed to your publication on how to start an online tutoring business. I have read through a few articles and they are really helpful and informative. I have read through some of the board and I see you mentioned Vyew as a online whiteboard service. I sigend up for Vyew and spoke to customer service rep (days after I requested help btw) about the services. I find the website hard to navigate. I have question for you how do you upload a webpage on that site. Also does the moderateor have to invite the student and teacher through email everytime it is time for tutoring? Is there an automatic set up that an owner (moderator) can do to schedule classes? Im confused by this site. Do they have good customer support, meaning if you pay do they contact you right away if there is a problem? ALso can a session be recorded and played back to the student at a later date? Please get back to me Sorry for any misspellings:)

Hi Scott!

I would like to become a tutor but it's very hard to get people to notice you and hire you. If you were me, what would you do?
Please let me know.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your reply. Few things are not very clear which I will ask later.
However, you have not replied to my last question and that is:

If a Tutor just makes about $100 or a little more, how can the tutor
pay you $97 towards your fee?

Please do let me know this.

Regards,

Hi Scott,

I have a couple of questions to you and it would be really helpful if you kindly answer them for me:

Following are my few questions:

1. Once a tutor finishes his/her six weeks of Training Program, he/she would
be ready to kick start Online Tutoring, my question is Where would they
get students from? Do you have any plan to advertise for the tutors in the
US?

2. I am sure you have multiple Tutors as your members, how would you
ensure they all of the Tutors get students?

3. How do you intend to advertise for the International tutors, like me, in the
US?

4. I have seen the Tutor Portal. Apart from scheduling sessions, what are
the other benefits would you provide to your members?

5. Would you also provide the Whiteboard for the tutors to teach their
students?

6. If a Tutor just makes about $100 or a little more, how can the tutor
pay you $97 towards your fee?

I would really appreciate if you kindly answer the above questions in the point
form so that I can relate all the answers to their corresponding questions.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,

Saurrish
